I just think it would be used more if there were prompts to drive people to comment. Because Stridekick isn’t the native app for most trackers, you need a little something extra to drive people to remember to open two different apps otherwise they tend to forget to do so. I think those features keep people opening the app. It also reminds you to sync, congratulates challenge winners, etc. It lets you know when people are gaining on you or when you’re gaining on someone else. A lot of the people I’ve brought over recently have Fitbits, and this is a strength of their app. The one thing I would love to see is active notifications/prompts during competitions. I love this app as it has allowed me to compete with my family and friends who don’t have the same trackers. Unlock activity levels as you increase your weekly activity average. Their downfalls, like I alluded to, are stability.Compete in free, fun activity challenges with your friends and family–no matter which fitness tracker they have. Both are free and generally do the same thing as Sidekick, if not more. Check out: Airport Location - a very powerful, but somewhat unstable alternative OR Control Plane. Really though, you won't need to contact the developers as this software is fairly stable and reliable. Additionally, the developers are quick to respond to questions and usually have gotten back to me within 24 hrs. Adding more would put it over the competition. Sidekicks good points are that it has a few pluggins available and are integrated well. I understand that there are some security risks with many of these items, however I believe users are willing to accept the risks. For instance, start/stop the firewall, start/stop file sharing (sharing anything actually), swapping the dock applications, change the browser homepage.etc. However, most of the actions you would actually WANT this software to do, it does not. Sidekick is fairly handy, has a nice interface, and the customer support is excellent. I've used this software since it's inception and used Network Location before that.
